Zumba is great cardiovascular workout set to Latin rhythms with easy to follow moves from dances such as Merengue, Salsa, African & Swing. Teresa has been teaching dance for 32 years and will make you feel at ease in her Zumba class. Her unique teaching approach is fun and safe, using modifications where appropriate in class as you progress through the session to a great variety of music. These classes help develop and improve co-ordination, balance and improve your fitness levels all with a carnival style atmosphere. This includes a thorough warm up at the beginning of class and cool down stretches at the end. If you have tried another Zumba class and found it too much, please give these a try. Teresa is a certified as a group fitness instructor with the American Fitness and Aerobic Association and is looking forward to introducing Zumba Toning classes soon. As part of the Redmond Parks & Recreation this class will be held at the Redmond Senior Center starting on Monday January 4th 2016 Classes are run on a monthly basis and work out to $5.00 per class if you sign up in advance or you can do a drop in for $7.00 per class. There are no annual contracts or hidden fees. Please call the Redmond Senior Center on 425-556-2314 to sign up. You do NOT have to be a senior to take these classes. The Senior Center is an ideal venue and is open to adults from age eighteen and up. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and suitable footwear and of course, remember to bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated. Participants in this low impact class enjoy rhythms such as: Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Belly Dance, Mambo, Tango, Cha Cha along with other fun an exciting rhythms and dances. The Zumba Gold program improves balance, flexibility and cardiovascular strength with its unique program. Zumba Gold was designed to teach the basic dance steps to anyone, even those requiring chairs or wheel chairs Join us from January 5th 2016.
